It was a cold night and in the weather reports Storm Goretti threatened, however, the hardy women of Lincoln WI laughed in the face of this and headed to the Grandstand.
The heaters were on and a cosy atmosphere created for the first meeting of 2026, where we ventured to a hidden temple in a dark steamy jungle and attempted to escape. The first team to complete the puzzles would be rewarded with a box of chocolates. However, things didn’t quite go to plan as the puzzles were a lot more complicated than expected.
Without turning this into a review of the escape room challenge, which required quite a lot of lateral thinking, it was a fun evening on a cold rainy night, which ended in an impasse. Fortunately we had bought enough mini boxes of chocolates for all the members to get one – everyone was a winner, and Lincoln escaped the ravages of the storm and just had a lot of rain.
