December was a busy month for Lincoln WI, not only did we have our December meeting, but we collaborated with the City of Lincoln Brass Band (COLB) in a charity concert.
Our Craft Market was great fun, with members having the opportunity to do some Christmas crafting as well as buy some artisan Christmas presents.
The Christmas Concert was really good fun. A mix of traditional carols and modern songs with cakes provided by Lincoln WI and music by the COLB. It was timed just right to get everyone in the mood.
The event was free and we collected donations for Motor Neurone Disease and St Barnabas, the tickets went like hot cakes and ‘sold out’ very quickly, so we had a full house for the event, and our generous guests raised £285 to be split between both charities.
The Mayor Lincoln came along and not only enjoyed the music but Faith’s excellent Christmas cake.

Our next meeting will be on 9 January at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start at the Grandstand, Carholme Road. Bring a mug – free for members, £5 for guests.
