Coronation Baking
On Monday 8th May we took over St Mary Magdalene in the Bail to sell cakes to unsuspecting passers by and raise money for the Lincoln Larder.
Despite inhospitable weather and a slow start it was a reasonably busy day the show stopper was by Lara and was a recipe & design that she had done for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. After a busy day we raised over £500 to be split between the church, the Lincoln Larder and Lincoln WI for our educational bursary.
We also ran the Coronation trail around the Bailgate area of Lincoln involving the local shops, to raise money for the Lincoln Larder.
Federation Quiz
On the 12th May it was the annual Federation Quiz, and one of our teams the Lincoln WI Imps were the “runaway” winners.
Well done to the collective brains of Lara, Nicky, Jenny and Louise. Great fun was had by all and they won by 19 points. They would have won by more, but a crisis of confidence saw an incorrect answer. They are waiting to find out the overall winner as the quiz was run in 3 concurrent locations.
