February was a meeting of two halves, the first half was all business and in the second we had a beetle drive.

A few members were unaware of what the beetle drive was, and when it was explained looked decidedly dubious about rolling a dice and drawing a beetle on a square. A few minutes in and the hall was a buzz of women excitedly shaking a dice and sighing or cheering as they failed to, or did achieve, a six to start and draw the body.

The great thing about silly activities like this is that everyone gets to have a bit of a natter and as the winner of each round has to move there is a constant flow of new people.

We had time for 6 rounds and then an overall winner was declared winning a Lincoln WI tote bag.

Whilst not particularly cutting edge, no VR here thank you, it proved that sometimes the old ones are the best.
