In January we started to get ready for the annual Show the Love campaign which aims to highlight environmental issues as part of the Climate Coalition. As we were making love hearts to also seemed appropriate to make pairs of them to send to Lincoln Hospital who share them with ill patients and their families. One stays with the patient and one goes home with a loved one.
We crocheted, knitted, moulded, and sewed a pile of love hearts. More ambitious members started to cross stitch, but there wasn’t quite enough time to get much completed. Although Craft Club (second Saturday of the month) will provide ample opportunity to get it completed.
We intend to publicise the campaign in the library and send a parcel to Lincoln MP to promote climate awareness.
