It’s been so busy we’ve neglected to update the blog!

September finished with the annual Lincoln Pride event, which saw us wheel out the Human Fruit Machine – whilst much derided on the Archers – it attracted many to our stall, or that may have been the free Rainbow Drops.

President Lucy went as a burger (fast and easy drag queen parlance) and everyone else was more ‘normal’. Pride is a great opportunity for the Lincoln WI to talk to members of the public and tell them about the great work that we do and how to WI is open to all people living as women.

Mid way through October we held a cake sale up at St Mary Magdalene’s up in the Bail, and raised over £200 for Nomad’s Trust and donated over £50 to the Church for the use of their facilities. This co-incided with the annual Sausage Festival, and many were grateful for a sweet treat and a sit down, in return for a small donation.

October also saw members making poppies for an art installation, Curiosity Creators at Waddington church, ready for Remembrance Sunday.

And that was without our birthday party!
